Simultaneous Command-Line Runs

Post by jqphantom »

Is there something non-obvious about using the CoreFTP Lite command-line interface from two simultaneous jobs? I started two runs at one, both using the same account credentials (=repository entries). The second one I started had a bunch of weird problems. The log file gave me a bunch of "permission denied" messages for directory names I was trying to create on the destination server.

The command line for the second job was:
"C:\Program Files\CoreFTP\coreftp.exe" -site cpttvp02 -s -O -recurse -u J:\BH\080208\*.* -p /benchmark/VZCom/BH/080208/ -log D:\VzComExRptg\logs\CoreFTP_BH_log.txt

The first was identical, only using Sac instead of BH (e.g., destination on the same machine, but different directories). The first job ran just fine.

Are there any rules against two jobs running with the same repository (in this case, "cpttvp02")?

Any ideas, folks?

TIA,

Thanks, but the log files are different (substituted Sac for BH, as I originally mentioned). And the jobs run long enough and are time-sensitive enough that I really need to overlap them.

Is there a specific limitation in the product that would prevent me from running them simultaneously?

Thanks!

I ran two fairly heavy simultaneous runs today without incident. On one of the previous runs, there werre some weird hiccups, but I don't have the log files any more.

Thanks very much for your suggestion.
