initial remote host directory

Post by Roy2001 »

Dear Fellow CORE Ftp user,
I'm running Core FTP Le. and having a problem with it.

The Company that host my website has given me this information to logon on the FTP.
----
Ip/Host : ftp.xs4all.nl
Username : ******
Password : ******
Initial Remote host directory : /WWW/www.respond.nl/
----

Everything is going right except for the Initial Remote Host Dir. where can i insert that information so i can come into the Httpdocs Dir ?

With regards,

If the host is setup properly as a true webhost, you should automatically sign in to that directory.

If you do not, and that is the ROOT folder on the server, do the following:

1.) Open Site Manager
2.) Choose your site connection in the list on the left
3.) Click on the "Advanced" button.
4.) On the left-hand side of the new window that pops up, click on "Directory/Folder".
5.) In the "Remote Start Folder" text box, type in that "/WWW/www.respond.nl/" path.
6.) Try to connect.

...if this does not work...

7.) Check the checkbox of "Abs" of the previous window (follow the same steps) and try again.
