Unable to connect to FTP

[b]When i try to connect to Core FTP it gives me following error, can someone help with this. I am using AVG antivirus. Firewalls are on.

Thank you for your reply. However, FTP do not work on my system at all. Server might be down at sometime, but anytime i try to connect it give me the same error ie;

I have the same problem and it is driving me nuts. I cannot connect with my web site using Core FTP Lite on my desktop computer. I get the following message:

I have added Core FTP to my List of sites not to block in my firwall and also added Port 21. I still can't connect.
Fortunately I can connect with my laptop and I have tried to configure everything on my desktop the same as my laptop, but still can't connect.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am receiving similar messages ... suddenly, today. It's not just on one, but four websites, from 2 different servers

sorry to jump in but im having similar problems im sure its username / password related.
Thing is, i got core ftp installed on my desktop, its connected to my satellite reciever via netgear router and i can connect to this as 192.168.0.4 u/s 123
p/w 321 and all is ok
now when i try to connect my desktop to laptop via router
typing 192.168.0.3 (the laptop has no u/name or password ) but choose what i do here even the annonymos doesnt work.

ive even tried installing core ftp on the laptop to connect in reverse and the same applies .
Any help is appreciated thanks jud
netgear showing attached devices as 0.2 desktop , 0.3 laptop and 0.4 satelite

My problem was solved when, because of other problems, I used "System Recovery" which reformats the hardrive to the way it was when the computer came from the factory. This saves your files but you have to reinstall any added programs. After reinstalling, Core FTP Lite now works fine.

very strange, i now cannot connect to my satelite receiver which also using core ftp also another program i use Pc Editor is no longer connecting.
Although my sat receiver sees my network thru the router

Hi,
I reinstalled Coreftp on my new computer and now I can't connect to the server where my website is. I keep getting a message saying, "The requested name is valid and found in the database, but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for."
I don't even know what that means.
Can anyone help me resolve this problem?
I've used Coreftp many times in the past on my old computer, so I'm thinking that I'm just forgetting something, but I don't know what.

mine also seems ok now that i re-installed explorer, i seem to think theirs a connection with the cuberevo being connected to the net and to my pc .
Does anyone else have similar problems . last year i lost an hard drive in my pc and i think that was due to being connected pc to cuberevo to internet .
maybe coincidence mybe not.
but as now all seems ok.
