Publishing via CoreFTP

Post by Luis »

Hello. I have a website and, up until recently, I was using my Internet Explorer as FTP to access my site files. I also have a blog on a completely different site, and I was using FTP to publish it onto my website.

Well, a week ago my website's hosting service had a server migration and firewalled off the use of Internet Explorer for FTP purposes. They recommended I use CoreFTP, and it worked fine for uploading purposes, but my blog is no longer publishing to my website.

I contacted the blog website, and they said CoreFTP might be blocking transfers from their site to my website. I need to know how I can get CoreFTP to allow this blog site to publish its files on my website.

On the blog site's help page they provided two IP addresses in case its site was being blocked, and it said "Additionally, ports 1024 and up must be enabled for these IPs, for the ftp connections to work properly," but I must admit, I don't know what to do with this information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
