Problem with uploading a large site.

Hi

I have been using core ftp for a long time for small web sites with less than 800 pages. recently I need to upload a site with about 4000 pages problem started. after uploading a few hundreds of web pages CoreFTP starts to slow down and down until it stops at all.

Before I post this topic I started to upload the site again so that I can mention the error message here. I get this message "421 Timeout (no new data for 900 seconds) "

What do I do now?

If you have shell access to the server, you might also want to upload a compressed version of the site and then uncompress the files after the compressed version has been uploaded.
