Settings in Site Manager will not save

Post by elemare »

Other issues seem close, but not exactly the issue I'm having.

I use this wonderful program on my desktop and my laptop. Desktop saves all the log-in information for each site (site name, host, username and password, etc.) but on the laptop I have to enter the info each time I log in - the program does NOT remember the site info from one log-in to the next. In fact, the site name I've entered in to the site manager is actually what is fills in all fields (even port, timeout and retry!) It's become a major pain when I have to keep filling everything in over and over again each time I connect while testing or updating Web sites...

What am I doing wrong on the laptop? What configuration change can I make to save all log-in info for each of my sites?

Thanks so very much for pointing me in the right direction.

Thank you! I'll give that a try.

I've snatched a temporary but sloppy fix from elsewhere on this forum: I export the correct info for my three sites, then import the info again when needed.

However, that duplicates the entries, giving me 3 good log-ins and 3 bad ones. :)

Back to regedit, I guess.
