move file or delete after succesfull transfer

Hi
i need to move a file from remote PC to server this is a txt file that ends on say .001 what i need is if successfully moved to server delete from remote PC.
also if the file exisits at server it should append to the bottom of the exisitng file .001. Any one no if this possible
