Client dropping connection under Win 8

Have this annoying problem whereas FTP Client le (any version up to build 1775) works perfectly well under win 7, but when used under Win 8 drop the connection after few minutes when no transfers take place. Settings identical. Makes it hard to use. Any suggestions how to fix.

Site profile -> Advanced -> Connections -> Keep alive (checked black).

There is also a "keep alive" button above the remote directory listing (hover around until you find it).
