Hi, I'm testing the Core FTP lite client and have run into an issue when I try to use the Directory Info command from the context sensitive menu in the remote directory window. When the window opens in NotePad is see a continuous block of characters with a space between each letter and no carrriage returns. I'm using Version 1.3, build 1348 on Windows XP Professional. The servers I've connect to are all AIX machines, but other people connecting to the same servers with CoreFTP aren't seeing the problem so it seems to me local to my machine. Any suggestions on what I might try to resolve this? Also I normally use TextPad as my default editor. Any easy way to open the directory info window in that editor instead of NotePad?

problem with 'directory info' function
Thanks for the quick response. My NotePad says it is:
version 5.1 build 2600.xpsp2.030422-1633:Service Pack 1.
I'm having troube finding anything on the Microsoft site that will tell me what the most recent version is and how to get it. I can talk with our support group about that but thought you should know what I had.
The remote directory listing (view) is indeed ok, only the output to NotePad is a problem.
Having the option to set the output to the default editor would be great, I'll look forward to that.
Let me pass along one other issue/suggestion. There is a setting on the Site Manager display for a checkbox with the label "Abs". I think I've figured out that this forces the client to use the path in the Romote Start Folder field. I could not find that in the help documentation anywhere. That may be an oversight and it seems like it could be an important issue for some people.
Thanks again!
