How to change directory

When Core FTP opens and you connect to your site, you see all your folders on the right side. However I have access to a different folder that is not visible in the tree. How do I change to that directory folder. On other FTP apps, I would type in the folder name in the folder bar or maybe as an example do cd../visiblefolder or just /visiblefolder .

But I'm having no luck , any ideas. What is the proper procedure?

That would be the thing to do, type or paste it into the "selected directories/URLs" dropdown bar above the listing.

Additionally the setting can be entered into advanced -> Directory/Folder settings of a site profile.
