Update destroyed categories in Site Manager

Post by Bazsl »

I just installed the update to Version 2.0 Build 1531 for CoreFTP LE. The update deleted all of the categories from the Site Manager and left all of the sites in one long list with no categories.

Is it possible to recover my old category structure by restoring a file or files from before the update? If so, which file(s) must I restore?

If not, how can I recreate the categories? When I click the New Category button in Site Manager it creates the category under the currently selected site! How can I create a top level category?

Thanks.

"You should be able to create a category top level by making sure no site profiles are selected, and then creating one via the "new category" button."

How do I make sure no profiles are selected? Any time I open the site manager there is _always_ a site selected and I cannot find any way to unselect it.

Thanks.

Ignore my last question. I finally discovered that I can deselect all sites by clicking in the area below the last site.

Is the new build 1533 available for download yet?

Thanks.

I just installed 1533. Try this. Open Site Manager, right click then choose Reindex Sites from the context menu. All of your categories will be destroyed.

After I closed CoreFTP and restarted it all of my categories reappeared but they are now empty. All of the sites have been removed from the categories and are listed outside of any category.

Is there any way to change the order of top level categories in Site Manager?

I cannot drag a top level category and drop it between two other top level categories. I can, however, drag a top level category below the last top level category and drop it. That is enough to allow me to reorder things. Thanks for your help.
