stopped working

Post by cad1 »

I've used Core for about a month, quite successfully. Suddenly, as I log on to Virgin net, it doesn't seem to work. The right hand pane is empty apart from " .<..> ".

The loading details (at the top) say my current directory is "docs" and there aren't any error messages or problems.

I promise I haven't done a thing to it or the machine!

Please help, this is driving me crazy.

Thanks for getting back to me.

If I do as you suggest, all I get is notepad displaying a temp file.

I'm using 98 and it's possible that I have updated from the microsoft site since last using it.

To answer your previous questions- yes the tmp file was empty. This 2k machine is very flakey and so I've not added anything on to it for many months not even microsoft updates.

Tell a lie- I have updated; AVG 6 virus checker, Spybot and Adaware on a regular basis.

Thanks.
