Hi Forum,
Is there anyone who knows how to use Core FTP Pro to upload and decompress zip files onsite? I have tried but will only decompress to my hard drive. What am I doing wrong?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks and Regards from
Steve
How Do You decompress zip files Onsite?

Here is an answer to my own question if anybody else needs to know.
Upload the zip file to your server using your FTP Client.
A 4 Mb file takes about 2 minutes.
Login to your servers cPanel or equivalent and use the File Manager.
Locate the zip in question and decompress.
Takes about 10 secs to unzip.
So all in all takes about 4 minutes more or less.
That's alot quicker than decompressing the zip locally, then uploading which took 30 to 40 minutes.
