552 STOR denied: quota exceeded

Hi to all,
I get this error message when trying to upload a file to my hosting server.
I've searched the net and found the solution into changing the FTP client's command code for uploading files from "STOR" to "APPEND".
Now my question is:
From where do i change the transfer file mode???
Anyone can help me pls??
