NOOB having Core connection problems

Ok, I am totally new to all of this but I followed the instructions to the letter for entering all of the relevant data on the site manager of CORE LE but continuously get this message when I try to connect:

can't establish connection --> ns3.secureserver.net:21 @ Wed Jun 07 22:32:28 2006 (10054-38)
An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

This happened even with friends double checking my work and trying from remote locations. It happens with the server name or IP entered.

Any ideas?

It looks like you're trying to connect to a name server (ns as a subdomain usually is an indicator), instead of an FTP server. Double check that you're connecting to the correct hostname.
