Change From address on Email Notifications

Post by ashleigh245 »

We need to change the email address that the email notifications are being sent from. I see under the email notificaion section where to change the address(es) you are sending it to, as well as other information but cannot find where the from address is stored. Thank you!

So you are saying that currently there is no way to change this option in the program?

OK, I added the new from address at the beginning of the list of Email Addresses and it is using it as the From address now. FYI, it also sends to that address, but that is fine.

Another issue we have noticed is the Subject line we are using is set up as:

%5 of %1 to %2 at %4, transfer - %6

and the date is always coming through as 12/31/96. We are using version 1.3c build 1447.3.

Also, it seems like every time our scheduled task kicks off, it leaves a session open in the program, so when we go back in after a week of scheduled jobs, there are all these sessions that are still open in the program. Is there something we should add to our scheduled job to get it to close the session?

Thanks!

Let's say that the scheduled task ran once a day for three days in a row. Then I go onto the server and open up CoreFTP. Before opening, it will pop up a box called Sessions and listed there are three sessions, one for each time the scheduled task ran (ie, one from each day). I have the option to Open one of the sessions, Delete it, there is a Properties button but that only ask for a session name and I'm not sure what it does, and there is also a Templates button and a Close button. If I choose a session and then click Open, it opens the program for me and in the bottom is the transfer that ran during the scheduled task. If I click on Close, it opens the program as well, but the transfer history section in the bottom is blank. I hope this helps, I would have given you a screen shot but I don't know if there is a way to upload files to the forum.

Ah, we never know when there is going to be a file to be transferred, so we have it scheduled to run every night, and then if it fails we just verify that there was no upload file from that day. That makes sense then.

Thanks, let me know if you find out anything about the date!

I went back through the logs and the date is only incorrect on the failed transfers, it is correct on the successful ones...
