W32.eHeur.Virus06 detected

Post by gumpy »

Upgraded my system today and i'm re-installing favorite softwares, one of which is Core FTP LE 2.2 client.

These days I run everything I install through Virustotal and it looks like the coreftplite64.exe installer got a hit by Bkav for W32.eHeur.Virus06

I'm guessing it's a false positive, however, wanted to get thoughts from either devs or anyone else who may have gotten same result.

Thanks in advance.

As i said, i used Virustotal (https://www.virustotal.com/) which is an online virus/malware scanner. Their platform is OS independent.

The scanner that returned the result is Bkav.

Link to result included below however feel free to run your own test.

In pulling up your link, it didn't show any viruses being detected... I assumed the issue had been a mistake

Ive had Norton once - never again. Said Virus bout nearly every site, i was watching those days. Then i changed to Avira - bad idea. Let pass a lot of viruses and malware, especially from XVideos. After changing to AVAST, everything is nice.

The Ethics of Using Encrypted Connections in FTP.

Post by NikolayGooDa »

In a world where data privacy is increasingly compromised, is it ethical for companies to use encrypted connections for FTP when it might hinder regulatory compliance or impede law enforcement investigations? Should the prioritization of user privacy outweigh the need for transparency and accountability in data handling?
