HI,
MY FILE HAS HTML FOR THE EXT. BUT WHEN OPEN CORE FTP THE FILE EXT IS HTM. GO FIGURE. WHY DOES IT DO THIS?
Also, I tried uploading and now my beautiful web site with all of my art work is gone. the files show up in the coreftp windows but when you go to the web site there is only one page and no images.
help.
I did copy the log file for one of the transfers, it show can't find file. but the files are sitting right there on the screen. I don't understand. I never had a problem with usloads since 1996 until now.
Also, when my other ftp program used to open and I transfered files there was never anything written in the ftp destination window, there is nothing inthe coreftp window either but maybe it needs something, but what?
Thanks for any help.
Regards,
Jean

html to htm AND OTHER PROBS
I think the "cannot find file" problem has to deal with timestamps of the file on the server...though someone else could verify this for me.
As far as your problem with your images and/or HTML/HTM issues...
You're using a Microsoft software product to create your website, am I correct? I am? I'm sorry for you.
You might be telling the application to save it as a type "HTML" but usually Microsoft programs will almost always save the file with an extension of HTM, not HTML. I wouldn't worry too much about this, personally, because if you tried changing the extensions it would actually kill your website.
IMAGES:
When you insert images into a Microsoft document and save it as a webpage, by default, it links to it on your local system, not on the server. Therefore, it might not be looking in the right place if you transferred the files. An easy way to test this is to copy the website to a floppy disk (or other media) and try your website on another computer, one that you didn't create it on. If you have the same problem you're having now, it's not CoreFTP, it's the software you're using to create your site.
It's really difficult to know exactly what the problem is without seeing the actual code to your website though (please don't post the code in here, if it's online, just post a link).
