core FTP hangs on scheduled upload if it's interupted
I have been using core FTP and it's scheduler for over a year now, I have an issue with core FTP hanging during a scheduled upload if the connection to the remote host is interupted. If this happens, core FTP fails to time out or disconnect and must be manually stopped in order for the scheduled uploads to continue as normal. I have two registerd copies of core FTP running on 2 different systems and they both exhibit the same problem. I am currently running 1.3c

Just checked one is at build 1420.02 but the other one is 1409.01 I'll update the lower one, but both copies are experiencing the hangs. The 1420.02 build hangs less but it only uploads one file, while the other uploads 50-60 at a time.CP wrote:Which build are you running? There was a timeout option added in build 1416.02 to solve this issue and updated in the current release (1420.02 at the time of this post).
Thanks

On the system that had the latest build, it uploads a single jpg file at one minute intervals. The system is XP SP2. The system that had the older build is a Win2k server and it used to upload a single html file every 5 minutes, but recent changes to the software now results in it uploading 50+ files every 5 minutes. Since your first reply, I have upgraded the coreftp build on the win2k server. Since the upgrade I have not seen another hang.CP wrote:When you're uploading these files, are you doing it by directory or are you using a wildcard (or other method I'm not mentioning)?
I'll run a few tests on this end if you can provide me with the types of transfers you're attempting to do along with their frequency.
On the XP box, I made a change in virus software, and it hasn't hung since. That could have been the reason the hangs were continuing on that system. I will monitor both systems and see if everything remains stable. If the hangs continue, I'll let you know.
Thanks for all your help
