My question is this. Does the FTP server need to have a browser certificate if i want to log on using SSL, the server is running in SSL mode know but i cant connect and me and my friend just tried it out.....

Feel free to post your log here and we'll see if there is a problem. 9 times out of 10 it's just entering the userid or password incorrectly.

Well the correct way to do the whole certificate scheema is to install a CA (Certificate Authority) and then the client need to "ask" for a certificate,,,then the CA (ftp server in this case) can either revoke or issue the cert....thats what i had in mind.
Now, the question i still. Do i need a CA or is it just connection between 2 SSL computers
