I am a total newbie to this. I wanted my own website and so bought a domain, thinking everything would be there for me a bit like bravenet or freewebs but it's not.
Before I understood everything (still don't), I realised I needed an ftp, so googled and downloaded this one when really I think I maybe should have got joomla or similar WYSIWYG because now I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I don't know html.
I can't undo the installation because it's now attached to my main account.
Can anyone please advise me what I should do next. I could sit down and cry out of sheer frustration because I literally don't understand what to do.

OK, let's start at the beginning. I presume you wanted to add your site access details into Core FTP Site Manager, but cannot connect to your site. Is that correct?
