Any ideas on what could be causing this?

I tried a reinstall but it didnt help. Does this on every site I try. (note: example.com is not the site im connecting to, i just dont want to put in the real site name)

CP, thanks for the quick reply but I dont think thats the issue. I made the reg changes and nothing came out of it. netstat doesnt show more port usage than usual.
The only thing I've done since yesterday on this machine is install the Radeon9600 all in wonder drivers and software.
If I disable sftp and use plain 'ol ftp it works fine.
When I have more time I'll uninstall it, wipe the directory, and try it again. Or see if anyone has issues with ATIs drivers.
