First let me say that I love CoreFTP! I have been looking for an interface like this for a while and am glad I found you!
I have a slight problem, however. Downloading I am only seeing about 240KB/s where on a straight FTP (albiet from a Linux host) I am seeing around 340KB/s from the same site. I tried to increase the CPS settings figuring I was getting limited, but when I go from the default of 300000000 to say 400000000, the integer wraps and I see no performance increase.
I am on 4Mb cable with a 100Mb internal network.
Thanks!
Transfer performance issues
CP and I did a little work via private messages, but I thought I would update the group on what I found. From my last message...
Chris,
I am always amazed at the power of the Internet. Did a real quick Google search on Windows XP TCP performance and got the following link...
http://rdweb.cns.vt.edu/public/notes/win2k-tcpip.htm
Did what it said, rebooted and Wham! A magical 383MB/s with CoreFTP!!!!! This matches (fairly closely) what I was getting with unmodified Linux on another machine. Spread the word, I certainly will!
