Core FTP ssh speed/performance

Hello,
I'm testing coreFTP on my Windows 8 server using the sFTP/ssh feature. When I download to the server using Allway Sync the download speed maxes out at around 4,2Mbit. Tested both locally and from external places. My internet is verified to be 100+/10+Mbit.
Any tips on how to increase the performance ?
It's mostly default setting, but the upload/download buffer size is set to 512000.
