You probably need to type the full pathname instead of just Dreamweaver.exe since the folder of dreamweaver isn't part of your path. for example: C:/Program Files/Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver.exe The path can be found by browsing to the correct folder (using the ... buttons). If you want notepad to remai...

Any response to the probability that escaping spaces in usernames will become default behaviour of coreFTP?

Spaces in username

For some reason, one of our FTP managers has set up a server with a username which includes a space. Core FTP (as well as command line ftp) do not connect when the username is entered. I do get Core FTP to connect if I escape the space with a backslash \, and I get command line to connect if ...

Contact the people responsible for the server you're trying to upload to (your ISP, hosting service or the like). They should be able to give you exact connection specifications (server name, if the server runs ftp or sftp and on what port to connect).

What I was really referring to is a sort of automatic lookup of the proxy username and password in the Active Directory with the credentials of the currently signed on user. I know you can fill in the username and password manually but the question was if coreftp could fit in the single-sign-on sche...

NTLM Authentication

Just a small question.
Are there any plans to support NTLM Proxy Authentication? It would help enormously when integrating with Microsoft AD

Check the server type of the connection In the general section of the advanced options. If it is set wrong, the filenames might be interpreted incorrectly by the program. (When I use Linux L8 as server type to connect to a FreeBSD FTP server, I get the same behaviour you describe). Setting the serve...

Ok, since the connection to ftp.netscape.com is working, the machine you're connecting from does not seem to be the problem. The problem seems to lie with the machine you're trying to connect to, the 192.101.250.250 machine. Is there an FTP server running on the machine with IP address 192.101.250.2...

If both the username and the password do not have any typo's something weird is happening.

Are you typing the password at a prompt or do you have it configured in the connection document? Try the other way to see if that works?

If I enter a user@hostname as FTP proxy, the following happens: If I supplied credentials for the ftp server (ftp.sunet.se) it tries to use these credentials to log on to the proxy and thus fails. If I do not supply credentials for the ftp server, it tries to use a blank user name and the ftp server...

For further information: The workaround cam2005 provided above: Leaving the login credentials for the site blank and using the prompt that appears at connection to enter proxy credentials, also does not work for me, since the credentials are passed to the proxy, before the proxy asks for them (a wel...
