How to install service on Windows 7

Any idea how to enable the service on Windows 7?

It works but I have to manually open core ftp server and start it.

If I try to install the service I get a error.

Thanks!

Can't access server

I just set up a new netbook with Windows XP. I am running wireless on it. I can't connect to it from my LAN. Its not my firewall, I set to off. The IP pings fine, but I try to sftp and nothing. I try to ssh from my other machines on the lan both wired and wireless (all linux) nothing. However if I p...

I will let CP answer you on MS Vista, but I don't think there is any issues. But as for the number of users, coreftp is not limited its windows. If you are wanting to set up a serious server scrap XP and look at a server 2003 family product. There are various IP port and connection limitations in XP...

Server is now complaining its unlicensed :(

I just noticed the server159 upgrade. So I went to shutdown server157 and when I opened the control panel I get a complaint about being unlicensed. I reapplied my key but to no avail. Upgraded to 159 and its still the same. I emailed support and gave them my key, but this is the second time this has...

CP,

Can you update the download page (it still says 137) as well as the betabuilds and updates.

Woops and also the mailinglist for updates...

Its looking quite good now 145, is it close to final release now?

Cheers,

David

Hey no problems! It was just confusing coming in heere and reading about someone having a issue in a later build. Also you have to download the actual server.exe to find out what build it is.

Thanks!

Updates and notifications - email

Support, Can someone please ensure the updates are mailed out on the update email list? The last one I received was: Server build : 130 Updated on : Feb 18th, 2006 There have been several updates and no emails, I even re-subscribed to make sure I was not deleted. Also in this forum, there should be ...

Yes you can! But you have to give list as well as read permission in the root directory. Even if you have a upload sub directory, you have to give L and W permission else you can't CD to it to be able to upload the file! Any private sub folders inside the directory, will show up in the list command,...

Changes automatically are done, you don't have to stop/start

Can future revision work so any changes you make in the program (users, sites, permissions, ports, etc, etc) be done immediately, instead of having to stop the service and restart it?

Cheers,

David

Some questions - need advise / help

Okay some questions for anyone knowing the answers. My setup. Its running on a Windows 2003 PDC running active directory, IIS 6.0 (not ftp on 21, etc) and DNS server. It has 2 NICs (192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0 for LAN) and (10.0.0.1/255.0.0.0 to router for WAN access high speed DSL, via 10.0.0.10 rout...

Small fixes changes required

I have hammered the software a lot and I have found the following features in need to changing / fixing. 1 - Force registration key in. Perhaps a drop down register option on the program. 2 - Need to fix the directory permissions. With only a W permission on a sub directory, you cant CD to that prot...

Great program!

I just set up a Windows 2003 Primary Domain Controller with Core FTP Server and I am really very impressed. I also have iis 6.0 running. I have stopped the IIS FTP service and replaced it with Core FTP Server. Not only did I get it running in a short time, I even got SFTP running and did not have to...
